Our aim & approach
We are able to achieve our above vision through awareness and community-building processes, and special projects working towards personal and professional skill development, sanitation, and more. Where required we work in tandem with local authorities and government bodies to fulfil the parameters of a model village, as proposed by the governing bodies.
Community-building workshops which promote human values
Through community-building and sensitisation workshops, we bring communities together. Our workshops play a crucial role in breaking down barriers between individuals, which promotes human values and establishes harmony in diversity. The workshops also increase self-awareness, a sense of belongingness and proactive energy levels of community members, which further gears them for participating in the project.
Creation of community leaders who lead various service initiatives
Selected youth from the village are mobilized and sensitized through our programs, which inculcates confidence, skills, a sense of responsibility and ownership in them to lead development initiatives in their village while empowering all the stakeholders.
Discuss what it will take to turn the village into a model village
Important stakeholder groups are taken to model villages to exhibit how small changes can be catalysts for a vast impact. Success stories of other model villages are discussed at regular community meetings, encouraging the planning of future activities and projects which can turn their village into a model village.
Ensure community involvement and ownership
The above interventions motivate the community to take ownership of and resolve their problems. The community involves itself through shramdaan (volunteering). The entire village voluntarily puts in efforts to address immediate needs of the village.
